All mothers and teachers only wish for the good to come to all children. They build their child's character, their competence, their creativity, their compassion. But when, at the end, an incident subjects that character to a severe test and that child fails, we as parents and teachers need to discern and decide what is right for him or her and not condone any misdeed.
The rule of law must be made to prevail. Painful as it may for the Ivlers, the wheels of justice must turn for the families of the victims and to assure the public that lawlessness has no place in civilized society like ours."
