CEBU, Philippines - Administration presidential aspirant Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro is expected to visit Minglanilla town today to address barangay health workers in the province.
Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia said this is the first time Teodoro will visit Cebu after One Cebu endorsed him as their official candidate for president.
Garcia said Cebu congressmen, members of the provincial board and mayors under One Cebu including their candidates in the different municipality will be there to meet Teodoro.
Garcia said that it is time they show Teodoro they are fully behind his presidential bid.
Last week, in Teodoro’s first visit to Cebu, his presidential bid was endorsed by the One Cebu Party headed by Garcia.
According to Garcia, the former Defense chief “is hands-down the best choice among the presidential frontrunners to lead the country.”
Garcia said Teodoro —a bar topnotcher and a Harvard-trained lawyer— is the most competent and qualified presidential bet in the 2010 elections and best represents One Cebu Party’s ideals of competence and excellence in public service.
One Cebu’s endorsement of Teodoro’s presidential candidacy represented a major political gain for the ruling party’s standard-bearer in this province.
