113th Philippine Independence Day Celebrations throughout the World

Posted on 10/6 3:46PM

Filipinos the world over are celebrating Philippine Independence Day in their particular way this June 12. For some, celebrations have started early. Others are waiting for that momentous day. But each one is celebrating in the way only a Filipino can.

Here is a sample of the celebration and a calendar of events can be found here .

We will be updating this page as soon as more events come to our attention.

On June 12 the Philippine Celebrations begin with a Simultaneous Flag Raising and Wreath Laying Ceremony at 7 am in:

 - Rizal National Monument, Rizal Park Manila

 - Mausoleo de los Veteranos de la Revolucion, Manila North Cemetery

 - Aguinaldo Shrine, Kawit Cavite (the President will be participating in the flag raising here.)

Rizal Park, Manila

The largest celebrations will occur, naturally, in our nation's capital. Rizal Park with its rich history and rich symbolical meaning continues to host the official ceremonies. June 12 is the focus of the activities but preparatory activities begin by June 10.
