Liberal Party Senatorial candidate, 'Teacher' Neric Acosta condemns the boycott of Wednesday’s Senate session by Senator Manny Villar and his allies.
“The Senate, as the highest policy-making body is not the venue to evade truth-seeking and truth-telling. Villar’s no-show in the final days of sessions for the 14th Congress reflects a disrespect not only for his colleagues, but an arrogance of power and a flagrant disregard for basic democratic process,” ‘Teacher’ Neric Acosta says.
“Anyone aspiring for public office, let alone the presidency, should be held fully accountable for any hint of a betrayal of the public trust. He must be an example first and foremost of responsible citizenship and ethical leadership.”
