Teachers should not be scapegoats
Liberal Party Senatorial candidate, ‘Teacher’ Neric Acosta joins the Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) in calling on the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to provide on-site training in the use of automated counting machines to teachers serving in the upcoming presidential elections.
“The COMELEC has been scaring us with threats of cell phone jammers and other means of fraud in the elections. But at the same time, they have been neglecting the important task of preparing the front liners in the precincts for election day,” 'Teacher' Neric Acosta says.
“Teachers are doing something heroic by working for free and fair elections. COMELEC should prepare the teachers and protect them lest the teachers become scapegoats in case anything goes wrong,” ‘Teacher' Neric Acosta stresses.
