Who would you like, someone "capable" or "trustworthy"?

I attended the Voices and Choices forum in Cebu (CICC) and listening to the candidates replies to the questions, one candidate stood out with the best logical answers. Most if not all the rest, came up with motherhood statements. I do not know the guy, but I am for him win or loss!!!! GIBO TEODORO FOR PRSESIDENT!!!!

people shouldn't have to choose between capability or trustworthiness.. a leader should be someone who excels in all the aspects of governance inherent to their stations.

which is why we shouldn't be content with a barely capable candidate..

the person we should choose to lead us should always be the person that could embody the highest of our ideals..

No other than Manny Villar. With his experience, he knows how to solve the country's budget deficit, solve mindanao peace problem and improve the lives of Filipinos. He has been in the battlefield all his life...he can run the country from day 1. He will not be taken advantaged of advisers because he knows how to run the government... He will not be indebted to anyone because he has the resources...thus.... clean up government.

on my personal opinion, we should like someone who is both capable and trustworthy. we can't afford to elect someone who is very trustworthy and morally upright but knows nothing or knows a little. as well as we can't have someone who is just capable because he could be "capable" of fooling us.

a leader with both characteristics should be the spear bearer.

As I look at the qualification of TRUSTWORHTY and CAPABILITY, I would like to compare it to the two sides of a coin. Without the other face of that coin, you would not be able to use it for buying. That's why I am for Bro. EDDIE.

It should be both. A President who is trustworthy, someone who may not steal BUT is also INDECISIVE will lead our country to ruin just the same. Our country needs someone who is capable and trustworthy. As a noted blogger once said, "In financial terms, P1,000,000 lost from theft versus P1,000,000 lost from inefficiency is still the same P1,000,000 down the drain."

Trustworthy...palagay ko lahat capable except for some...Bro. Eddie is a trustworthy man, his administration of his church finances is the living proof...JIL grows because he is trustworthy...we need somebody who can be transparent and honest enough to handle money or funds...the Philippines have so much money from loans, BIR, government owned company to be in the hands of trustworthy president with a full knowledge of economy, resources and businesses...

I will go for both, probably 70% trustworthy and 30% capable. Kasi we all know president's have advisers to help them run the government.

As of now, undecided pa rin ako but I will find someone trustworthy talaga.

I would go for both! It would be very risky to just entrust the whole government affairs to hired advisers. Then why do we ever elect a president then, why dont we just hire one? If a president does not know what he is doing, the hired technocrats will just fool him.
Trustworthiness is a must although this must not be inherited, it should be earned.

I believe all presidentiables are capable enough to run the affairs of our government. In the first place, they will definitely hire experts and advisers to help run the government. It wouldn't be by his lonesome. It is more difficult to elect someone whom we can trust government funds and resources, hence, i will vote for someone who is trustworthy and has not been tainted with corruption. we need a leader who can inspire us to be good and do good. and this I believe with conviction that Noynoy will get my vote. Sobrang marami ang magagaling sa mga politiko natin at lahat sila ambisyoso at nangangako na pauunlarin ang pilipinas. but once they are seated, nauuna ang kagutuman nila sa KAPANGYARIHAN AT KABAN NG BAYAN. Hnd ko kailangan ang politikong maraming nagawa kng marami naman siyang ninakaw sa kaban ng bayan. Higit kong gugustuhin ang kulang ang karanasan kesa sa isang politiko na alam na alam ang pasikot sikot sa gobyerno at paano lulusutan ang kanilang mga kabulastugan.

What our country needs is a president who is god-fearing, a president who will live up to his parents' good name, a president who can be trusted upon with all the vast resources and the vast powers that he could have. I am definitely "NOYNOY FOR PRESIDENT"

Siguro ang karapat-dapat ay kung sino ang makakapagbigay ng malinaw na numero kung paano aasenso ang Filipino. May tatlong sangkap ang pag-asenso ng Pilipinas (3 M)

1. MONEY - Kahit anong bagay ang gagawin, hindi magagawa kung walang pera. Sa Comprehensive Feasibilty Study na ibibigay namin kay Erap ay maliwanag kung saan kukuha ng pera. Hindi po sa gobyerno dahil walang pera ang gobyerno. Gobyerno po ang makikinabang ng malaki at magkakapera.

2. MANAGEMENT - (sestima) Kahit anong ganda ng plano kung kung wala kang alam sa management ay lugi ang kahihinatnan. Sa CFS po namin ay hindi Presidente ang magmamanage. Marami po tayong mga kwalipikado, schoolar business managers, ang totoo po nyan ang isang pinakamayamang businessman sa Saudi Arabia, ang kanya pong Close Business Adviser na humahawak ng halos kalahati ng kayang mga negosyo ay isang Filipino.

3. MANPOWER - Nasa Filipinas lang po ang source ng kahit na anong klase ng manpower.

Kahit sino dyan sa mga presidentiables, kayang ipangako ang bituin sa langit. Pero tanungin ninyo kung magkano ang magagastos para maabot ang bituin, sino ang gagawa at magkano ang tutubuin, baka ang mangyari ay ang ibigay sainyo ay star ni bro galing sa Pampangga. Pero wag ka, malaking negosyo yang Star ni Bro.

The election noise is giving us ordinary voters a lot of information and promises from the candidates. Mas lalong humihirap ang mamili para sa kagaya nating ordinaryong mamamayan na mas mahalaga ang maghanapbuhay kesa sa makinig sa mga pangako.

If we could just simplify the criteria of the candidates, sino sa mga candidate ang gusto mo humawak ng pera ng bansa natin, yun ba yung sabi ng sabi na "capable" leader daw sila and madami na daw accomplishment or someone na "trustworthy" and not have been tarnished by corruption?
