Bangon Pilipinas presidential candidate Bro. Eddie Villanueva on Monday congratulated the National Bureau of Investigations for the arrest of road rage suspect Jason Ivler.
Ivler was tagged behind the killing of Renato Ebarle Jr., son of Undersecretary Renato Ebarle Sr.
In a press statement, Bro. Eddie said that the capture of Ivler gives hope that some elements of the government are doing their jobs to let the wheels of justice take its course.
He expressed confidence that the Ebarle family would receive the justice that they have been seeking for.
Bro. Eddie said that if elected president in the May elections, one of his government’s priorities would be to ensure a quick resolution in criminal cases.
“All government agencies should have a quick response team that would attend to the needs of people seeking help. This would be a matter of policy of all government agencies – may it be in the judiciary, legislative or in executive – under the Villanueva administration,” he said.
Bro. Eddie also said that once seated in Malacanang, he would be leading “by example” by showing Filipinos an upright and God-centered form of government.
“We will rid all agencies of unscrupulous men and women and show our fellow Filipinos that they can have faith in our leaders again,” the Bangon Pilipinas presidential candidate said.
In another development, Bro. Eddie said Jason Aguilar, the victim of mistaken identity, should be compensated for the shame and hassle he experienced in Doha, Qatar for about a week. Aguilar, an overseas Filipino worker, was mistaken for Ivler.
“What was done to Aguilar was a great injustice. He was not only traumatized by the experience, he also lost opportunity to support his family back in the Philippines,” he said.
