At first I thought you would be different from the other candidates but as I read along there isn't much difference. Like all the others you want more government involvement, more government intervention, which would create more governmental bodies, agencies, commissions, bureaus and task forces each with its own pet projects and needing more funds... read more taxes.... just to administer it. What this country really need is less government. decentralization or better yet federalism. Give more governmental responsibilities to the LGU's specially on matters of social welfare services, health, infrastructure, and other basic services. national government should just confine itself to foreign affairs and national defense. period. streamline the budget, dissolve useless agencies and departments (DOE is one). less government means less taxes and less opportunities for officials to dip their fingers in. less taxes translates to more purchasing power or opportunities for investment and capital for ordinary people to become entrepreneurs. free market has been given a bad name by the super rich and huge corporations (i.e. telecoms and big 3 oil). these rich individuals and corporations are not really practicing free market principles. they thrive in government protection, favors, tax exemptions and incentives and subsidies. make the free market principle apply to them and things would be better.
